Mommy's Little Monster

Dylan loves making monster noises. I think it's so funny.

Then he started going off on his own...

10 MONTHS!

My sweet lil Dylan is 10 months already! And he's such a handful!

Things I've noticed this month:

** I hate diaper changes. He won't lie still. He's such a little squirmer. I have to give him something to play with to distract him and change him as fast as possible! 

** Crawls all the time and stands with support. There have been a few times he's knocked over our stools trying to stand! 

** Puts finger foods in his mouth. About half the time, it will actually make it into his mouth. He also uses a straw to drink from his cup. 

** Uses his pincer grasp and pokes with his index finger...even to the smallest crumb on the floor. 

** Waves both of his hands in the air. I'm not sure if it means anything yet. He also turns his wrists from side to side. 

** Likes to make growling noises like a lil monster! It's hilarious. Here's his 10 month pics!

I had to give him with something to play with, so he wouldn't get out of his chair!

He loves chewing on his foam letters.

And getting his bib all soaked!

Love his long lashes! 

Such a cutie pie!

He hates it when I put him in his pack n play. He feels all confined and would rather roam around the house.

After 2 seconds of fake crying, I took him out. 

Look what I made out of his play mat! So he can start learning how to spell his name!

Dylan has been a lot more mobile this month....here I am trying to catch him in action!

 Getting tired of standing...taking a break. 

 Loves his toy bus. He knows how to press on the buttons to make it play his favorite song...The wheels on the bus go round and round!

His new toy bowl (aka my salad bowl). He likes to put his wooden toy animals in and out.

Waaay Past Bedtime!

I tried to put Dylan to sleep yesterday, but he'd rather practice standing up in his crib!!

9 Months!

I can't believe Dylan's 9 months already! It just felt like yesterday I was blogging his 8 month birthday. He is due for another checkup...I'm curious to see how much he weighs! While we were waiting for the pediatrician, we let him read a book.

HEIGHT: 27.75 INCHES ( 25 %)

WEIGHT: 17 LBS (10%)

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 44.25 CM (25%)

His head is finally becoming more proportionally to the rest of his body, but he's still a skinny guy.  My mom and Alex thought he was at least 20 lbs because he just feels much heavier!

Things I've noticed this month:

** He has 2 more teeth coming in at the top, so he's drooling more than ever! And it's hard to brush his teeth because he'll bite my finger off! I need to get a soft toothbrush so I can get the behind the teeth! 

** Starting to crawl...we're gonna need to babyproof our house soon! He's starting to grab onto things and pull himself up. I wish our couch was lower so he could balance on that when he stands. He mostly tiptoes when on his feet.

** Says ga ga ga now

** His stranger anxiety is more prominent. When he's scared, he seems to want me over Alex. He's a Mama's boy! 

** Bangs on his toys to make sounds

He doesn't want to sit still to take pictures at all. So I had to put him in his chair so I could try to get some profile shots. 

Loves using blankets for his teething comfort. Not fond of the hard toys.

to see what's down on the floor. He does that when he's on the changing table and on the bed. I'm always worried he'll fall off the edge if I don't catch him in time. He's quick!
