Just Born!

It's that time again...I enjoyed taking monthly pictures of Dylan, so I'm going to do it for Peyton as well! This one starts off with "JUST BORN!" Okay, I'm a few days late... =)

Introducing...

Welcome to the world Peyton Kazin Mogul! Almost 2 years after Dylan was born, we are proud to introduce a new addition to the family!

Born on August 18, 2013 at 450 am at Huntington Memorial Hospital

Weight: 6 lbs 6.5 oz

Height: 20 in

Head circumference: 34 cm

 The second time around was much easier! I was in active labor for only 10 minutes (compared to the 1.5 hours with Dylan). Everything went smoothly and fairly quickly. Peyton was able to room in with us afterwards. I was slightly worried how Dylan would react to the new baby...at first he wasn't really interested and was even shy, but after a few days, he warmed up and kept saying, "BABY!"

Like many babies, Peyton had high levels of bilirubin and needed phototherapy. Lying in an incubator, he was exposed to a special UV light from the top and bottom to decrease the levels. He didn't like it very much. He also had to wear a patch to cover his eyes from the bright lights.

 

 

Peyton was lucky to have some visitors at the hospital!

A Super Fun Weekend!

Sheryl and the kids came to visit us this past weekend! It was a little crazy with all the kids, but it was super fun! We went to 626 Night Market, one of the largest Asian Night Market in LA. It was basically a food fair of many local Asian vendors and way too crowded.

Then the next day, we headed to Kidpace Children's Museum in Pasadena!! Although Dylan was too young to participate in many of the activities, there was still plenty of things to keep him busy.

Later that evening, Alex and I got to babysit and had the 3 kids to ourselves! Staying home was boring, so we went to the Santa Anita Mall!

 Sitting in a car! Dylan's favorite thing to do...when we tried to take him away, he threw the biggest tantrum I've ever seen! Too bad I didn't take a video!

There's a carousel in the mall...Ariana wanted to go on it before we went home. Dylan rode in a tea cup. 

Dylan doesn't really know how to say his name yet, but he was able to say Ariana's name, kind of. So cute. When Sheryl and the kids left, Dylan kept looking for them. I think he had a great time and misses them already!

More climbing! He's growing up so fast!!

21 Months

I'm finally catching up on my blog...since I'm officially on MATERNITY LEAVE! So, I'm preparing for Baby #2, but not looking forward to those sleepless nights. Haha.

Anyway, Dylan is now 21 months and is super fun to be around with. He's understanding a lot more and voicing out his opinions! He probably knows a little more than 50 words (combo of Chinese and English). He's also beginning to have the mentality of "everything's mine!" We went to the Kidspace Museum and he did not like sharing. 

He still loves going out and asks for the keys. He associates them with doors and cars and tries to put the keys in the key hole. And he still loves cars and trucks!  His favorite words are Truck, Car, and Key.

He likes to watch "Thomas and Friends" in the morning and play with my phone (usually watching YouTube videos of "The Wheels on the Bus", "ABC" song, and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star).
