Play Date!

Here's a few pics from our lil playdate with Mayumi at the Huntington Library!

Dylan wants some of that PB&J!!
Apparently Mayumi doesn't like to share...
and she was a little bit shy...
But Dylan has skills and finally convinced her not to run away!
 Having fun

Water Baby

Summer is here! Today was Dylan's first swim experience! And surprisingly, he did very well! No tears! I was a little anxious about him going into the water, because he doesn't really play much with the water during his baths. But once Alex took him in, he was a natural!

Listening to the instructor
Dunking Dylan into the water
The cutest look after coming back up!

Trying to paddle with his feet
Next lesson: floating on the back
 Look Ma! No hands!

I think Dylan loved being in the water! Can't wait for the next lesson!

Family of Four!

Know what it would be like with 2 kids? Well, we got to test it out this past weekend when my friend brought over her baby Aiden (who is a few days younger than Dylan). It seemed like Alex had a great time!

 Getting along well!

I love Dylan's little feet!! so cute!

I just learned how to post videos online (I know...I took so long. I hope it works!) Below is a video of the two babies. They were getting along just fine until Dylan started to make his voice heard. I think it startled Aiden and made him cry...

Dylan gets to go to Huntington Library alot. This time, Daddy took him and visited the newly remodeled Japanese garden! Looks similar but alot cleaner!

There's his little feet again! Haha!

7 Months!

Dylan is 7 months! Hurray! I'm not exactly sure how much he weighs right now, since he doesn't need to go back to the pediatrician office until 9 months. But I do see some developmental changes since my last post.

Things I've noticed this month:

** He loves yogurt, egg yolk, and oatmeal! We've also tried meat (chicken) for the first time and he seems to be eating that well. He will shut his mouth really tight if he doesn't like the food or he's done.
** His 2 bottom teeth are fully out and he loves it when I brush his teeth!
** Loves spitting and screaming (making sure his voice his heard)
** Puts his hands in his mouth all the time; I think I saw him put his thumb in his mouth only once
** Likes sleeping on his side and belly

** Wears size 3 diapers
** Does push ups during tummy time, but still not crawling yet. He'd rather roll around to get from Point A to B

I bought him some new swimming outfits to get him ready for swimming. He hasn't gone yet, but I was too excited and decided to have him try out his new clothes.
Surfer dude
Loving the shades

Over the weekend, we went out to celebrate my friend's birthday and got to hang out with her baby Maddie!
Having a blast
Hanging out at Santa Monica afterwards

A pic with Daddy

And can't forget his monthly pics of Dylan...7 months now and smiling all the time!

Sits up pretty well now
Fingers!
Fingers!
and more fingers!

Pushes himself up from his belly

Can you see his bottom teeth?
I love this guy!

HAPPY 6 MONTHS!

Dylan made it to his 6 month birthday and below are his stats from the pediatrician office.

HEIGHT: 25.5 INCHES ( 10 %)
WEIGHT: 15 LBS 1.5 OZ (15%)
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 43 CM (50%)

Things I've noticed this month:
** Eats solids 3 times a day; (loves butternut squash, not too keen on carrots, has also tried peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas, rice cereal and oatmeal)
** Because he is eating solids, more smelly poopy diapers, but the good thing is no more blowouts!
** Has 2 bottom teeth
** Only puts soft objects and blankets in his mouth
** Has more hair than Daddy now!
** Likes sleeping on his side
**Enjoys "raking" (scratching everything he touches)
** New goal is to start crawling, so that means more tummy time!

Alex is such a proud dad that he even got a birthday cupcake for Dylan!

Happy birthday!!

Dylan: Wow this is great! I can't wait to eat it!
Ahhh...

Hey bring my cake back!
I mean it! Give it to me!
Pout, pout. I didn't get to eat my cake.
Sorry Dylan, get some more teeth and you can have all the cake you want!

Soon he forgot about the cake and was all happy again!

 Getting bored
Just chilling.
So fresh and so clean after a bath!
Catching a shot of Dylan as he falls down
Loving Mommy's bed!

Acting like a fish!
 Loves his feet!
It was Alex's birthday last month, so we surprised him at work with cake!! He was super happy!

Below are a few pics from Lacy Park in San Marino. There were alot of kids there! Dylan enjoyed looking around.

Sitting in the swing for the first time!

I think he liked the handles more than the swing itself.
 Bottom of the slide! Weeee!

I've been back to work for a month now. Sometimes we've had to take Dylan to Grandma's house. It's hard leaving Dylan, but he has such great grandparents to babysit!

Uncle Clint's hand me down suitcase!

When I went back to work, Alex took care of Dylan for about a month. Alex would often take him to the park and watch tennis. One day, Alex put some sunscreen on Dylan.
Looks so funny. Like he's going to battle.
Such a good sport!
