THE VERY FIRST TIME

Warning: this blog entry is pretty long...I had to go through a couple hundred pictures, but hopefully I posted enough pictures to show what a fantastic vacation we had!

Alex's family and friends came to visit us for a week. It was the very first time that we got to meet Andrew (as well as Albert's family first time meeting Dylan). First stop, we head to Palm Springs. Patty was super generous to let 10 people stay at her cozy apartment AND she cooked!

 Patty got Dylan a cute souvenir hat from Thailand. He's so happy to wear it.

Patty had some northern Thailand gear in her closet, so we played dress up. We got to bring Thailand to Palm Springs!

The next day, we attended the Indian Wells BNP Paribas open. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any of the top players because we went during the first two days. But we still managed to have fun.

Babysitting Andrew while the boys test out racquets. Good thing Dylan was sleeping at the time. Taking care of two kids is tough. Just watching Tami and Albert makes me scared. Keep up the great work!

  Day 2 was super windy! Time to go back home.

After 2 days in Palm Springs, we were pooped. So, we had some of Alex's friends come over to visit with their baby boy. We had lunch at a Chinese restaurant. Yummy!

After lunch, we headed home to take more pictures! I was itching to photograph Dylan and his cousins playing together! It was super fun!

This photo session was a success because both boys rolled over for the very first time! But I was only lucky enough to catch Dylan on camera. Sorry Drew!

So, Tami thinks the babies are so much cuter when they're just in their diapers. I agree!!! Soo cute, I just want to eat them up!! When the boys were stripped down, Alexis wanted to join the fun, so she took her dress off too.

They're having so much fun! All united as one! YAY!

Next stop, Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade. The weather has been so nice and sunny! 

 It's funny that everyone here is wearing a jacket while Aldo is wearing a T-shirt and shorts.

Dylan slept practically the entire time...by the end, he wet through his diaper and onto his pants and my shirt! Good thing I always carry spare clothes!

Wow, that week went by so fast! Thank you for coming to visit California! Can't wait to see you all in Chicago soon!

4 MONTHS

Time is sure flying by!  Dylan is now 4 months and below are his stats from the pediatrician office.

HEIGHT: 24 INCHES ( 10 %)

WEIGHT: 13 LBS 7 OZ (10-25%)

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 41 CM (50%)

He's still a small fry...but got a big head! It's to fit his big brain of his! He's such a smartie! He sleeps about 6-7 hours during the night. I wish he would sleep longer so Mommy can finally get her beauty sleep she's been DYING for. 

This month has been super exciting because Dylan has hit a couple of milestones! Things I've noticed:

** Loves his hands that he can't keep them out of his mouth

** Able to hold his head up a little better

** Pick up toys with his fingers

** Plays with his exersaucer

** Imitates Mommy when she makes noises 

** Makes bubbles with his saliva

** Laughs and smiles when you say ABC and 123 or speak in Tagalog or Chinese

** Screams super loud when he's hungry...he becomes HANGRY! (hunger + anger = hangry!) a term that Olivia concocted

**Grabs his feet when sitting in the Bumbo

** Jumps up and down when holding him 

** Wears size 2 diapers 

**Turns over from tummy to back!! YAY for Dylan!

THE NEXT ROGER

Here I am, blogging away again. Today was quite chilly, so we ended up staying home. So while we waited for Daddy to come home from work, I took more pictures of Dylan. We received this cute tennis onesie from Angelo and Gloria (thank you!) and I couldn't wait to have Dylan try it on. It's still a little big, but it works. So now he can start practicing to be the next Roger Federer. Or maybe even Djokovic, since he's number 1 now. (I can hear Alex crying in the background. Sob sob.) 

 Can't quite hold the ball yet.

We were so blessed to have so many people visit baby Dylan since his birth. There have been more people come visit, but I'm sorry if I didn't get a chance to take a snapshot of you!!

3 MONTHS

I can't believe it. We made it to 3 months! Woo hoo!

We headed down to San Diego this past weekend for the Superbowl. While the boys were glued to the TV, I decided to play with my camera and take pics of the kids!! 

 Ariana being so silly. She had her entire matching purple outfit on with a hat one minute...the next minute, she leaves the room and comes back wearing nothing but her birthday suit and starts dancing like a wild child! It was hilarious! She is such a ham!

 I noticed that Karina is giving us the middle finger! I wonder who taught her how to do that! HAHA!
