恭禧發財 = Happy Chinese New Year!

I'm just on a roll with the pictures. Today I decided to use the Snugseat (comparable to the Bumbo) for the first time. I think Dylan enjoyed a different perspective of looking at objects. Most of the time, he can only lie on his back. He had fun playing with grandma.

Today also happens to be Chinese New Year! Dylan is so lucky to receive the red envelopes from his family!

Gong Hey Fat Choy!

I decided to be a little creative and try to make a spaceship out of his envelopes/snugseat and make a short story.

Are you ready for takeoff?

Okay, I'm ready!

3, 2, 1....

and we're off!

Wait a minute...how come I'm still on the floor?

Oh well.  My spaceship is broken.

I'll just use this money to buy myself a real spaceship! =)

HE'S READY FOR THE SNOW!

I forgot to add these pictures to the last blog...so here's more!
I bought a cute trapper hat a little while ago but it didn't fit him at the time. Just checking to see if he grew into it yet. Still a little big, but at least it doesn't cover his entire face now. Also I'm trying out a different camera lens so these pictures seem more clearer, but it is only able to focus mainly on one object.

Tonight he seemed extremely exhausted, maybe from all that posing he did this weekend. Usually when we change his diaper in between the feeding, he wakes up. This time, he just kept sleeping. I've never seen that happen before. At least it was an easy and fast change.

MR. McCRANKY

I have been so tired lately that I haven't been posting many pictures, but I finally picked up my camera and started shooting this past Saturday morning. I put Dylan in this funny onesie that a friend got us before he outgrows it. I wish he didn't grow so fast, so that he could wear some of the cute outfits more than once! Although Dylan isn't really a cranky baby (which I am so thankful for), I still wanted to share these pictures!!

My amateur photo background

His mad dog look..getting slightly cranky.

He's probably thinking, "Mom, stop taking so many photos!"

Tired Daddy and baby..after his mini-photo shoot

Later that night, we ate at a Chinese restaurant in celebration of Chinese New Year. I didn't take a picture of the place, but it was packed. My chair was squished behind another person's chair. Like sardines in a can. Even though Dylan normally sleeps during this time, he was wide awake during the entire dinner! Dylan was so content at looking at all the people around him. My mom and I kept handing Dylan off to each other as we ate our dinner. He was such a happy baby!

Tummy time is Dylan's least favorite thing to do. He can only withstand 2 minutes of it and then starts crying. So I tried using the boppy to assist him and surprisingly was able to lie on his belly for over 10 minutes! I'm so proud of him. So is Daddy.

During these couple of weeks, Dylan has finally noticed his hands! He loves to put them in his mouth, so he is drooling more. He hasn't found his thumb just yet, but I'm sure he will soon. He's such a smart cookie!

Dylan has a lot of different expressions. One in particular that stood out this month has been his grimace. Once I see him sad, I just want to melt and comfort him in my arms. The only time when he gets a little cranky is when he's hungry or doing tummy time. I should have photographed him in his cranky onesie here...oh well.

 The beginning of the grimace

Doesn't this face make you feel so sorry for the guy?? Don't worry, it was only for a second. Once I fed him, he was all smiles again!

WELCOME 2012!!

Happy New Year everyone!

Yay! Got him to smile for me!

Not only is it a new year, but he's 2 months today!!

Happy 2 Months, Dylan! He didn't want to smile for the camera anymore...

Happy Holidays!

Dylan is more interactive now. It's a good thing because Lolo and Kristine came to visit us for the holidays and spend Christmas with us. They stayed for almost 2 weeks and helped take care of Dylan!

Getting better at tummy time

Having fun in the swing

So much fun he fell asleep!

Kristine is a natural!! She made up a few nicknames for Dylan.
Dyl-sky, Dyl-Dyl, Dyl-weed, Dyl-ard...

Dylan loves being outside in the sun!

Sporting his new hat...slightly big, but keeps the sun out of his face!

We spent Christmas Eve with my side of the family and even had a little cake for Dylan to celebrate his first Christmas! Chinese people like to spend the holidays at restaurants. It was packed!

Grandma and Grandpa

Lolo (we missed you, Lola!)

We hung out with Alex's side of the family on Christmas Day! We got to see Weng's new house and spend time with the kiddos, Lorei Jane and Jet-Jet. They are getting so big!!

Taking a stroll in Old Town Pasadena

Stopping by Starbucks for a drink. It was so warm outside! That's what I love about California...it's warm 365 days a year! (Well, almost)

Lolo and Kristine were able to check out the Rose Bowl and the floats for the Rose Parade.

10 bucks for admission!

Dylan's pooped! Slept the entire time!
