Baby Sprinkle!

I'm almost 38 weeks with the 2nd baby!! Time has flown by quickly! Everyone focuses so much of their attention on the first child...well naturally, since it's the first time! And a very exciting one. By the time the next one comes along, people tend to lose excitement and the second child usually gets gypped! However, I want to try my best not to let that happen! Originally I wasn't even going to have a baby shower, but Olivia was sweet enough to offer and host a small gathering of close friends. I am so grateful she did! It was small and intimate, but I had a blast! The theme was "Priscilla's About To Pop!" It was held at the Scarlet Tea Room in Pasadena. The teas and mini sandwiches were divine!

To go along with the theme, Olivia made cake batter "pop"corn as favors! They were delicious!
 Pretty centerpiece
Yummy cupcakes and "pop"cicle sticks as decor
 A sorbet starter
 Scones and sandwiches
Petite fours and dessert

I forgot to bring my camera, so this is off my phone! Too bad it's kind of blurry!
Thanks everyone for coming and a big props to Olivia for organizing my sprinkle!

18 Months!

It's a little past 19 months and things have been super busy! We're in the process of renovating our home, so we can make room for Baby #2!! Dylan will now have to share his blog with his soon-to-be lil brother! Here's a 3-D ultrasound pic of our bundle of joy! He makes his first debut! No names picked out yet...Do you have any suggestions?
It's amazing to see all the features of his face and sucking his hand! Dylan gives my belly lots of kisses when I tell him to kiss the baby! But I'm not sure if he realizes what's to come in the next couple months! Today, when Alex asked Dylan to kiss the baby, he ended up kissing Alex's belly! HAHA!

On the flip side, Dylan is so active and I can barely keep up with him! Here's his stats from his 18 month appointment:
HEIGHT:  30.5 INCHES ( 5 %)
WEIGHT:  20 LBS 9.5 OZ (8%)
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 47 CM (40%)
Things I've noticed:
** Still a picky eater and still drooling. Lately, he's been spitting out most of the food we give him! It's quite frustrating! However, he still will eat yogurt melts, cheese, and udon noodles...and of course, his milk!
** He's learning so many words in Chinese and English. Some words he says all the time are: "Uh oh, car, apple, mut mut (socks in Cantonese), out and barks like a dog!"
**He's tall enough where he can reach items on the table and open doors when they're shut, climbs on top of the bed, sofa and chairs! I have to watch him so much closer because I'm worried he's going to fall one day and break an arm!
**Dances when music is played (he especially loves "The Wheels On the Bus"
**Knows how to turn on the TV. He loves watching Too Cute on Animal Planet, Thomas and Friends, and tennis
** Gives me hugs and kisses
**Learning how to play tennis. Alex has been teaching him some moves. He grunts when he swings the racquet, bounces up and down when asked to be in ready position, and throws the ball up when trying to serve
**Doesn't like to stay at home. Always wants to go out! I guess he takes after his mom!

Here's a few pics and videos that I have over these past few months! It's becoming harder to take pictures of Dylan because he moves around too much! My shutter speed is too slow! Time to get a new camera!
For Mother's Day, we went to Mi Piace's to have brunch! It was delicious!

Dylan's hair grows pretty fast, so time for another haircut from Daddy! This time I told Alex not to give him a bowl haircut!! Dylan is so well behaved for the most part!

Playing in the park

For Memorial Day, we went over to my friend's house to swim and play with the dogs!
At first, Dylan was scared of the dog, but after he warmed up, he wouldn't stop hugging it! He kept chasing it and trying to hold it!
We haven't gone swimming in a while, so I didn't know how Dylan would react! But he seemed to like the water and had a great time!

The next pics are just random ones at the house...

Here are videos of Dylan in action!
Here's Dylan dancing!

I think it's so adorable when Dylan says, Mut Mut!

Who needs pixie sticks when you have Uncle Jerome!??
Until Dylan says, Poop! It's hilarious!

15 Months..a little behind.

I'm sorry for the delay in my posts...I've been running around these past couple of months or just too tired to post pics, but...(this one's for you Nilo!!) here's what we've been up to.
Dylan is almost 17 months!! GAAAHH!! Time has been flying by! But we did go to his 15 month appointment and here's his stats:

HEIGHT: 30 INCHES ( 10 %)
WEIGHT: 19 LBS 7.5 OZ (5-10%)
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 46 CM (25%)

I couldn't believe he wasn't 20 pounds yet! When we went to Chicago, we put him on a scale and I was sure that he weighed 20 pounds, but oh well. By his 18 month appointment, I'm sure he would be over 20 pounds. He's gotten heavier since then. Mealtimes are still sometimes a struggle, but I think we're making progress.

Things I've noticed:

** Walks very well and doesn't trip over things like before. He's very careful with stairs and uneven pavement too!
** Still teething and drooling. Sigh...I wonder when it will stop...His pediatrician said he now has 16 teeth. Almost a full set of teeth...just waiting for the 4 molars.
** Opens his arms wide when I ask him, "How much do you love Mommy?" and pats Daddy's back when Daddy asks. Waves good bye and blows kisses when prompted. And pretends to sanitize his hands after I put on his diaper.
** Likes to drink water out of my cup and says, "AAAHHHH...." afterwards
** Says mama, dada, out, bye, apple
** Sleeps usually from 8pm-7am with 1-2 naps (varies from 1-3 hours) during the day. I'm so grateful that I don't have to wake up around 5am anymore. It's so nice to sleep in. (Current moms know what I'm talking about!)
** Loves to sign "all done" and "more" with his hands. He's got those 2 down! Now I just need to teach him please and thank you!
**Likes to play with household items, opening and closing doors, pressing buttons on kitchen appliances, washer/dryers, and turning on/off lights.
**Knows how to throw a tantrum when we take things away from him. But it usually only lasts a few seconds since he gets distracted with other things.

I think that these past few months and the months to come are quite amazing! While I am almost recovered from the lack of sleep I endured for the 1st year of Dylan's life, I can now enjoy all the fun things Dylan's learning and keeping track of all his developments. Anyway, enough of the talking...and now for some pics and videos!
 Hanging out with "Simba"
Dylan loved playing with these toys at the mall

He didn't want to get out...Guess what he did when I took eventually took him out...TANTRUM!
Playing with chopsticks...I now...they're a poking hazard, but I'm watching him the entire time, and he's actually pretty careful with them.
Dylan started to go to Gymboree Play and Learn. He's progressing well and starting to follow directions more after going there a few times.
Climbing up the ladder all by himself!

 He likes the innertube alot!
Peekaboo!
Watch Dylan playing some basketball!

Pouts with this face more often...haha!

The weather has been so nice lately that I bring him outside to play. He loves the outdoors. Here's a few pics in our backyard.

This video is hilarious to me...Throwing a tantrum when Dylan doesn't want to be held!
Dylan saw my cleaning lady and decides to imitate!

Well, I hope this makes up for all the months I was not posting!!
Happy Reading!!

The next tennis star!

I took Dylan to the park the other day since it was nice and sunny! We went to the playground and I was hoping he would have a fantastic time watching all the other kids, play on the swing, and go down the slide! I put him in the swing and...

He sat in it for a few seconds before wanting to get out! There's a tennis court right next to the playground and quickly left the other kids to watch some kid's tennis lesson. I guess Alex has been brainwashing him to be the next tennis star. Dylan even has his own toddler racquet at home!

He was so happy when one of the balls flew over the fence and was playing with the ball for a while, but he really wanted to get onto the courts!
Here's Dylan trying to squeeze through the hole of the gate, but unfortunately, he did not succeed.

Oh well, maybe next time...watch a video of how mesmerized Dylan was!!
